All Alchemy Gothic jewellery is conceived and designed in England by The Alchemy Carta, and all pewter products are made in England in the Alchemy workshops, by Alchemy's own master hand-craftsmen.
The metal used in the manufacture of Alchemy Gothic pewter products is the highest grade, 92% tin alloy, (to BSS5140) standard, known as "English Pewter". Some manufactures misleadingly use the term 'pewter' to describe alloys containing lead. This results in inferior, more easily made products which are heavier, softer and of a dull colour, which are much more prone to tarnishing.
Looking after your Alchemy: Pewter may, like silver, tarnish, but can easily be polished up to a brilliant lustrous shine, using a brass or silver polishing wad and a wipe with a dry cloth.
